With 30 EDM acts performing and 70,000 people at Downsview Park over the 2 days this past Civic holiday weekend, headliners included Above & Beyond, Kaskade, Dada Life, and Steve Angello. Deadmau5 ended the festivities with his grand finale performance.

Facts I learned at VELD:

  • People are super friendly at VELD.
  • Unicorns do exist and they are damn ugly.
  • TTC workers are offended by blow up dolls.
  • Steve Aoki knows how to work a crowd including throwing cake at them.
  • You can stand out from the thousands of people in attendance if you don’t wear neon.
