Ring the alarm! Ladies (and gentlemen), please get ready for the hottest show of the year…the annual Toronto Firefighter Calendar Event. Hosted at Tattoo on Queen St. W., on June 11th, this highly anticipated affair brings some of the sexiest firefighters from the Toronto area to support the fight against cancer.
To aid the cause, a stunning 12-month wall calendar is available for purchase, with spectacular photos of real Toronto firefighters who dedicate their lives to protect our community. All proceeds will go towards supporting the Fire Fighter’s Cancer Research Fund at The Princess Margaret, one of the top five cancer research centres in the world.
Firefighters have a higher risk for developing certain types of cancers due to their exposure to toxic chemicals and burning materials. As a result, the Toronto Professional Fire Fighters’ Association established the Firefighters Cancer Research Fund in 1998 to help their fellow colleagues battle the most common disease of their profession. Since the inception of the Calendar Event, it has raised more than $1 million for cancer research – no small feat for such a passionate group.
