Gardiner Museum celebrated their first Young Patrons Circle with the inaugural fundraising gala called “TENSIONS” with the help of the National Ballet School, where visual arts and performance art partnered for one special evening on Friday, June 19th, 2015.
Even before getting to the door, you could tell this event was special.
Indeed it was a multi-sensory experience – perhaps more than one person could digest all in one evening.
Arriving at the Gardiner Museum on June 19th, there was a special outdoor performance on the steps of the entrance turning heads from pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
It also celebrated NBS’ Creative Challenge where dance performances were choreographed by the young dancers in NBS’ Professional Ballet Program.
Additional activities included exploring the latest ceramic exhibitions throughout the multi-level gallery, dance performances by Canada’s National Ballet School, food catered by Food Dudes and gin-based cocktails with Hayman’s Gin.
Also, special guest Governor General of Canada, David Johnston was in attendance along with his security detail and personal photographer.
Congrats on the Gardiner Museum’s first YPC and throwing an excellent inaugural gala.
