This Civic Holiday weekend featured another solid lineup at this year’s VELD Music Festival 2015 with big acts like Steve Aoki, A$AP Rocky, Nicky Romero, Kaskade and the return of Deadmau5, as one of the producers alongside LiveNation and INK Entertainment.

While it was my 3rd year attending, it was great vibes all around again. Emphasis this year was on safety, taking breaks and plenty of free water available.

The VIP platform had a great central, unobstructed view of the main stage. But overall, there was no escaping the good music at every stage.

Just like this summer’s Digital Dreams music festival, VELD was affected by the threat of high winds, lightning and hail and the afternoon of Sunday everyone was evacuated to the dismay of the thousands eager to see headliner Hardwell and more.

Hardwell was added to the line up of the sold out after party at Sound Academy.

Those awaiting refunds will have to tune in to VELD via email, Twitter or Facebook.

Besides that, the transportation and festival was once again quite organized given the circumstances with frequent TTC shuttle buses from Downsview Park to Downsview subway station.
