Cibo Yorkville is the newest Italian restaurant in the Yorkville area, publicly opened in October 16, 2015 and created by Liberty Entertainment Group. Best of Toronto was lucky to be hired to photograph the recent opening of Cibo Yonge and now also the latest Cibo Wine Bar on Yorkville. This will be joined by a 2nd Cibo Wine Bar location in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Designed by Liberty Entertainment Group’s Nadia Di Donato, Cibo takes over the former Italian restaurant, Ciao.

Upon entering the restaurant, it felt cozy and inviting; the décor and ambiance had a modern rustic look.

Cibo has an extensive wine list with their signature beautiful glass display and also equipped with wine on tap. We ordered merlot, but the favourite amongst the ladies of our table was the Sangria Frizzante, their delicious sangria filled with fresh fruits. A must try!

With Cibo Wine Bar’s Executive Chef Saverio Macri at the helm of all Cibo Wine Bar’s, the same standard of quality from the rest of the Cibo Wine Bars should exist with pastas and pastas made from scratch. The fungi blend salad, which included a generous mix of meaty grilled Portobello mushrooms. The pizza was great. Service was impeccable, as our friendly servers were attentive and ensured we were taken care of.

Overall a great experience with a bustling vibe. The ambiance was fantastic, making it a great approachable addition to Yorkville.

Also be sure to try out their brunch!
