While last year it was held at Steamwhistle brewery, this time the third annual Suits and Staches was held just a few steps south on Bremner at Leon’s Warehouse to a packed house full of “Mo” supporters.

For some men, November is a month to look forward to when they can stop shaving as a socially acceptable thing to have a caterpillar on your lip. For the women it’s not such a great sight to look at. But hey, it’s all for a good cause as these brave men raise funds for men’s health and prostate cancer through the global men’s health charity called the Movember Foundation.

Features of the event included open bar, silent auction, “Mo” caricature artist, grooming and beauty stations, and a Movember-themed photo booth and great prizes. Among the many entertainment highlights was Juno award-winning Trevor Guthrie (remember SoulDecision?) performing acoustic versions of his hits. Also, live performances by St Royals, Amanda Toms and the DJ got the crowd dancing through the night.

100% of the event proceeds go towards the Movember Foundation funding men’s health programs including prostate cancer, testicular cancer and more. For more info about the Movember Foundation visit ca.movember.com
