It’s big and it’s really bright. You can’t miss the new white exterior facade at the corner of Yonge and Dundas. The unveiling of the new look of the Canadian H&M flagship store arrived to much fanfare.
With the help of great performances by 19 year old hometown singer-songwriter sensation Alessia Cara and Taryn Manning (Orange is the New Black), it was quite a night for the hundreds that attended the Canadian flagship opening celebrations on the night of Feb 24th, 2016.

Toronto’s opening event made international news when Taryn Manning gave a shout-out to her 8 Mile costar Brittany Murphy and then music abruptly shut off.

“I always shout out people that I miss that have died,” Manning said. “I was playing ‘Lose Yourself’ by Eminem, who I was in a film with, and put my fader down and gave it up to Brittany and then everything went dead [silent].
“Nobody tripped over a chord or anything. It was very bizarre.”

Jillionaire of Major Lazer kicked off the festivities for the public opening the next day.
The new flagship spanning 57,000 square feet is one of the top ten largest H&M stores in the world.
The launch also brings fresh interior design offerings for your home with the debut of H&M Home to Ontario found on the 1st floor.
