Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee, Michael Fassbender, will be this year’s guest of honour at TIFF Soirée 2016. The annual fundraiser kicks off the biggest celebration in town, the 41st Toronto International Film Festival.
In the exclusive onstage conversation, Fassbender will discuss his experiences and stories about the wide variety of characters he’s portrayed through his film career.
Following the discussion, the evening will roll into a cocktail party at Malaparte, the TIFF Bell Lightbox rooftop.

TIFF provides valuable access to film and culture for people of all ages, circumstances and backgrounds through its free programmes including the following:
Pocket Fund: Provides subsidies, including free access and transportation, for children and families who would otherwise be unable to participate in TIFF’s film-based learning programmes.
Special Delivery: We partner with community organizations to deliver high impact workshops to various communities, engaging young people of all backgrounds, locations and abilities. Also free of charge.
Reel Comfort: A programme that brings films, workshops and special guests to mental health patients for free at five Toronto hospitals.
