Rebel is now the largest and one of the most impressive nightclubs in Toronto. Formerly known as Sound Academy, Rebel nightclub had it’s grand opening on October 1, 2016 with dazzling lighting, sound, visual effects and performances created in part by Adam Hummel (art direction and motion design for Beyoncé’s Formation World Tour) and choreographed by Nicolas Archambault (2008 winner of So You Think You Can Dance Canada).

Rebel is a new sultry, luxurious nightclub that is rich with ornamental detail spanning a huge 45,000 square feet. The 65-foot main stage is accompanied by huge LEDs dominated by a massive overhead lighting installation that transforms with the music.

The second floor which overlooks the stage and crowd is a bit more intimate with a doorway to an outdoor terrace overlooking the lake and the beautiful city skyline. Downstairs at the other end of the club are more cozy spaces with plush seating and views of the Cabana Pool Bar next door.

Charles Khabouth of Ink Entertainment and Toronto’s entertainment mogul was present that night to help launch the club. They already have quite a line up of upcoming artists including:

Die Antwoord – Oct 16
Miguel – Oct 22
Majid Jordon – Nov 10
Seven Lions – Nov 11
