Rebel is now the largest and one of the most impressive nightclubs in Toronto. Formerly known as Sound Academy, Rebel nightclub had it’s grand opening on October 1, 2016 with dazzling lighting, sound, visual effects and performances created in part by Adam Hummel (art direction and motion design for Beyoncé’s Formation World Tour) and choreographed by Nicolas Archambault (2008 winner of So You Think You Can Dance Canada).

On the main floor of the newest and stunning QRC West building in Toronto’s Entertainment District is Ricarda’s, a massive Mediterranean open-kitchen restaurant, bakery, bar and café. A gorgeous and spacious space, with its clean and modern décor filled with marble and gold accents, deep u-shaped booths overlooking the kitchen. The restaurant has 170 seats inside and 100 seats in the indoor patio outside the office building’s lobby.

The Wine Academy

Walking along Richmond St, I’m standing in front of two towering wooden doors. Unassuming and a contrast to the rest of the street, we were at the right location. Launched in June, The Wine Academy offers something unique in Canada, a not-so-average hideaway from the bustling city streets, especially in the downtown core where space is limited. Being part of the member’s club provides a place to enjoy wine, network, socialize and the ability to store your wine.

Branksome Hall’s Athletics and Wellness Centre contends to be one of Rosedale’s state-of-the-art landmark. Located on the corner of Mount Pleasant Road and Elm Avenue, the contemporary building is situated within the elementary and secondary all girl’s schools campuses.

It stands at 68,000 square feet as an award-winning building designed by MacLennan Jaunkalns Miller Architects (MFMA), using many elements – limestone, oak, wood, glass, steel – in constructing its fine architecture.
