Branksome Hall’s Athletics and Wellness Centre contends to be one of Rosedale’s state-of-the-art landmark. Located on the corner of Mount Pleasant Road and Elm Avenue, the contemporary building is situated within the elementary and secondary all girl’s schools campuses.

It stands at 68,000 square feet as an award-winning building designed by MacLennan Jaunkalns Miller Architects (MFMA), using many elements – limestone, oak, wood, glass, steel – in constructing its fine architecture.

On Tuesday, August 11th, we visited 250 University Ave to be wined and dined with the nostalgia of summer by the Elle Cuisine team. As we descended down the stairs and walked through the dimly-lit corridors to The Vault where dinner would take place, we had no idea what awaited us.

Ontario harvest brisket burger

On February 17th we attended Winter Provisions – a private seasonal food and drink popup presented by Provisions Catering and Events. It was an event intended to showcase the Provisions artisan menu from executive chef and co-owner Kevin Castonguay, formerly of Grace restaurant.

The stylish and happening 2nd Floor Events only opened in 2013, and has quickly become one of Toronto’s most popular event venues located above popular ping-pong venue SPIN at King West. Just last year, we were at 2nd Floor for several occasions, including The Tastemakers book launch, the inaugural Taste of Toronto preview, and the Open Wines Party. Now, 2nd Floor Events is taking it up to another level, with the launch of their own in-house catering service.
