Mommy and Orphan Black were big winners at this year’s Canadian Screen Awards, taking place this time at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts. A much welcome change to one of my absolute favourite venues in Toronto.

For the month of January, Nota Bene restaurant is offering a special prix fixe menu inspired by sunny California raising a glass to the wines from various regions in the Golden State. California is recognized as one of the best wine regions in the world where nearly 90% of all American wine is produced with over a hundred grape varietals.

On November 25th, 2014 the Canadian Opera Company held its 2nd annual Centre Stage competition. After auditions with 150 singers in 4 cities (Vancouver, Toronto, New York, Montreal), the next generation of 7 short-listed Canadian opera singers competed for this year’s coveted top honours.

Now in it’s 11th year, the Canadian Opera Company‘s signature fundraising gala, Operanation, is surely going to be a night to remember at the glamorous Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts.
