On Tuesday September 15th over 400 members of Canada’s film, art and fashion circles gathered at the Shangri-La Hotel to fete nine of Canada’s brightest women in film at the third annual, Birks Diamond Tribute to the Year’s Women in Film.
Taking place at the Trump Residences at Penthouse Suite #5501 on July 15th, 2015, we were part of a private jewellery event showcasing diamonds, watches and other jewellery attracting private jewellery buyers complete with champagne, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
With the Pride parade happening the same week among other celebrations in the gay community, Elton John’s partner David Furnish was in town to launch the PILL XXV, a jewellery collection by Tateossian which benefits the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
Toronto-based fine jewellery designer Alessia Magnotta premiered her collection at owner and celebrity stylist Annie Jagger’s boutique, Gilding the Lily, located in the Distillery District on August 6th.
Inspired by the strong women in her family, Magnotta creates strong yet delicate pieces in sterling silver and 14k yellow gold.
