Honouring the 100th anniversary of Einstein’s Theory of Relativity, the Canadian Friends of Hebrew University (CFHU) hosted the first Einstein Legacy Awards gala on May 12th, 2015 at the Liberty Grand. Albert Einstein was one of the co-founders of Hebrew University as well as Martin Buber and Sigmund Freud.

The very special guest of the gala evening was Chelsea Clinton to much fanfare, security and especially secret service members for the special occasion.

Inspired by the nostalgia of the 90’s TV show, Beverly Hills 90210, this year’s 4th annual Artbound party took place at the Evergreen Brick Works. We were lucky to have attended last year’s packed charity party at Maison and it was a blast so this year we were expecting the same top-notch fun-loving spirit. It was a good time as usual with over 1,000 people in attendance in support of the Free the Children charity. Highlights included: Naughty by Nature…

The Daily Bread Food Bank hosted their second annual “Ultimate Food Challenge” featuring a culinary competition with 3 chefs: Devan Rajkumar of The Food Dudes, Alexandra Feswick of The Samuel J Moore at The Great Hall and Jason Parsons of Peller Estates Winery. My favourite was…

Even though she’s “Canada’s own certified diva” (as quoted from her twitter acct), Divine Brown…

I was lucky to be allowed the opportunity to be at the Open Wines party at the new venue above SPIN at King West called 2nd Floor. Activities at the Open Wines party included playing with NFC bracelets and NFC wine glasses (which to my geeky delight, triggered an automatic tweet personalized to your twitter handle via the “Bird Box”), ping pong, choosing temporary tattoos from Tattly (Brooklyn, NY), as well as Chef John Placko’s donuts topped with whipped cream…

Those that were there knew how lively it was at the annual Motionball gala in support of Special Olympics Canada, with this year’s theme of “Winter Wonderland”. How befitting considering the large snowstorm that had arrived that evening.  But that didn’t deter the 2,000+ guests from attending this sold-out charity gala that took over the 41,000 square foot Muzik night club. The event featured tons of great live music and a silent auction. There was also an Iceberg Vodka bar and…
