In celebration of the Starlight Children’s Foundation’s 20th Starlight Gala, this year’s fundraising gala theme was the “Roaring Twenties”, a prohibition-themed affair at the Fairmont Royal York complete with plenty of entertainment, flapper dresses, feathers and pearl necklaces, decor and a speakeasy after party including a giant cage.
This year’s annual Starlight Gala for the Starlight Children’s Foundation will be hosted by Canadian TV personality, Rick Campanelli.
Taking place at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel on Saturday, April 18th, 2015, it’s going to be a 1920s theme with flapper dresses, feathers, and pearls.
The 19th annual Starlight Gala took place at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel once again last Saturday, April 5, 2014 with the interesting theme of “London Calling”, named after UK’s punk rock band, The Clash. The evening raised $500,000 to fund Starlight’s programs goal of “bringing joy to children who need it”.
There’s no shortage of giving (and there shouldn’t be) when it comes to helping children who are seriously ill. Starlight is the only charity in Canada that helps these ill children both in and out-of-hospital from diagnosis and throughout the course of their time of need.
