Christopher Bates came out with a bang, wrapping up the opening night of Toronto Men’s Fashion Week (TOM*) on Tuesday, August 12th, at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel.

Beautiful men marched the designer’s new SS15 collection down the runway, introducing a packed room to his “English Patient” inspired pieces.

There was a cool confidence for the premise of Bates’ show. The plot of the collection blended the suave of the ‘tailored gentleman’ with the smart, edgy man, who knows the meaning of heat.

Bates is a Toronto based Canadian menswear designer, who trained in Milan at the well known Instituto Marangoni. His designs are popular for being modern yet classic, and are available at retail locations, Holt Renfrew and Gotstyle Menswear.
