It’s a busy weekend of fun, food and drinks with these festivals to help you celebrate summer in Toronto at it’s finest.
Hosting the largest licensed outdoor patio, the Bacardi Festival Libre will celebrate Cuban-inspired music, dance, cuisine and art. It takes place this weekend for 3 days starting today at Toronto’s Distillery District spanning Trinity Street, Tank House Lane, Case Goods Lane, Distillery Lane and Gristmill Lane.
If last year was any indication, this year’s Power Ball was sure to be amazing once again. Held at Canada’s leading contemporary art gallery on June 5th, The Power Plant, Power Ball 2014 welcomed over 1,500 guests who came to support the exhibitions and programs that the Power Plant holds every year.
The 2014 SummerWorks Performance Festival kicks off with a two-part bash at the historic Campbell House (160 Queen St. W.) on June 6th. The back-to-back events begins with The SummerWorks Exclusive (6:30 – 9:00pm), where the festival’s lineup will be announced, as well as a special appearance by Suits’ Patrick J. Adams. The night ends with the festival’s official Launch Party & Fundraiser.
June is Italian Heritage month and the festivities are not to be missed supporting Toronto’s lively Italian communities.
To kick things off, Liberty Entertainment Group will be launching a “Castello Italia” event where the majestic Casa Loma Gardens are boasted to be transformed into an authentic “Italian Piazza” experience.
