Guests arrived at the Kool Haus on November 12, 2014 to be blown away by an elegant and entertaining fashion show put on by one of Canada’s hottest fashion labels, Greta Constantine.
Their Spring / Summer 2015 Collection seemed to land somewhere between Japan and Paris in terms of inspiration, offering up clean, minimal cuts, while also giving the modern woman a length of fresh sophistication and style.
The show began with nude jersey dresses, the resort-ready must haves, and then quickly made its way into colourful gowns, dresses and cocktail party pieces. The standout piece was the black strapless cape that glided down the runway with gloves that seemed to go on forever.
Putting the “show” back in fashion show, at the end the models walked behind closed curtains and were soon unveiled on the stage posing on boxes, ladders and other equipment. As the curtain parted, disco balls shone bright, ‘Mo Money, Mo Problems’ rang out from the speakers and silver confetti blew up into the air to end the evening with a bang.
