Chill vibes and physically-distanced outdoor lounging were on the agenda for a perfect summer evening at the popular Stackt Market at Bathurst and Front.

18.8 at Stackt

The occasion for the special event was to get a first taste of a new gin and vodka brand called 18.8. The two offerings from this brand boast being the first Canadian low alcohol, low calorie gin and vodka. As you can guess from the name, the products are 18.8% alcohol. Crafted in small batches right here in Niagara, Ontario.

Check out the cocktails by Robin Wynne (Miss Things) including Maui Sunset, Muskoka Mule, Honey Do. Low alcohol cocktails could be the better alternative for more responsible social drinking (but no drinking and driving, of course).

The low alcohol cocktails are paired with dishes from Stackt Market Chef Trevor Lui (formerly Kanpai Snack Bar). Selections include Summer Ceviche with shrimp and squid marinated in 18.8 vodka with fresh citrus juice, “Joybirdie” (brined chicken cutlet coasted in secret batter) and more also available at Stackt.

The 18.8 pop up is at Stackt until Sept 27th. You can also check out 18.8 Gin and Vodka available at the LCBO.
