Summer in Toronto always brings a packed social calendar, but a Saturday out at Polo For Heart is a great excuse to head just north of the city. On July 11, 2026, the Toronto Polo Club in Richmond Hill hosted its annual tournament, marking 46 years of supporting the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Southlake Regional Health Centre.
Saturday, September 6, saw director Rian Johnson and his stellar ensemble soar into the Princess of Wales Theatre for the world premiere of Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. TIFF audiences erupted in cheers as Johnson bellowed “Can I get an ‘Amen?’” to kick off the screening, setting a rapturous tone for the night.
On March 20th, Toronto’s Windsor Arms Hotel hosted the elegant launch of Queen of the Castle, with the glamorous Ann Kaplan Mulholland, former Real Housewife of Toronto and star of the series, at the center of the festivities. After an exclusive screening of the first episode, guests enjoyed a royal-themed reception featuring Ann’s grand entrance and appearances by the cast from England.
Such a great time for a weekend full of yoga, sound baths, good food and nourishing the soul at the beautiful Muskoka Bay Resort. Organized by Carmelinda DiManno who also DJs including recently at Electric Island event.
On Oct 13, 2022 Dwayne Johnson aka “The Rock” was the star of the show for a fan event at The Rec Room downtown. The event celebrated the kickoff of The Rock’s DC superhero premiere as Black Adam in the movie in theatres Oct 21st. Fans lined up, dressed in Black Adam costumes and others with wrestling championship belts paying homage to his WWE past.
TIFF was finally back September 2022 in full force after the Covid hiatus. Everybody’s experience at TIFF is different so here is mine with just a few red carpets with Harry Styles, Oprah, Kit Harington, Anna Kendrick and more.
