Now, with the beautiful weather in Toronto, event season is getting back to the full swing of things.

Sadly, it looks like there is no PowerBall gala this year, a highly anticipated event. That’s good news for Scrubs in the City which usually takes place on the exact same night.

Looks like things are getting back to normal! After two years without live events, specifically for Cirque du Soleil a hiatus of Cirque live events globally, the evening kicked off with the Cirque performers, execs and stars on the red carpet.

On November 25, 2021 we attended a charity dinner benefitting an organization called I Love First Peoples. Of course this was timely considering the news of the horrific discovery about Canada’s history with residential schools.

Toronto’s new “Immersive Van Gogh” exhibit was one of the city’s only large-scale events that wasn’t cancelled or moved online in response to COVID-19 this summer.

As they made their grand entrance, Special Olympic Athletes – the indisputable stars of the show – were met with cheers and high-fives. Their presence undoubtedly contributed to the infectious energy that characterized this year’s motionball Toronto Gala presented by the AIRMILES Reward Program. So did a touching performance from Karl Wolf and empowering comments from everyone from motionaball founder Paul Etherington, to Olympic champion figure skater Tessa Virtue.
