Toronto is lucky to be the first North American destination of the acclaimed retrospective work from David Bowie celebrating the legendary pop culture, musical pioneer and style icon at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO). In the exhibition, David Bowie fans will be able to view more than 300 items collected from the 5 decades of Bowie’s career including memorabilia such as his own handwritten set lists, lyrics, diary entries, instruments, music videos, and sketches.
The “David Bowie is” exhibition is set to open at the AGO on September 25, 2013 and will remain on display until November 27, 2013. Tickets are available for sale starting September 23, 2013 but you can book advance tickets now at http://www.ago.net/david-bowie-is/
A timed-entry ticket gives you access to the exhibition at the price of $21.50 for ages 17 and under, $26.50 for seniors and $30 for adults. Admission is FREE for AGO members and for children ages five and under. The neat part is that ticket buyers have the opportunity to upgrade to a combo package that includes timed-entry access to any time slot for the other popular exhibit: Ai Weiwei: According to What? and the first month of David Bowie is. Combo tickets are $31.50 for youth ages 17 and under, $36.50 for seniors and $40 for adults.
