Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards (CAFA) 2016

Someone once told me that if you take a word and repeat it three times it sounds much more chic, especially in the Fashion industry. No need for that here, but it’s fun to do. So…. CAFA CAFA CAFA! The nominees have been named!

In it’s third year running, the time is quickly approaching to pay respects to Canadian designers, models, stylists and innovators at the Canadian Fashion Awards (CAFA). The gala itself will take place on April 15th, at The Fairmount Royal York Hotel. The host has not yet been revealed, but the winners will be selected by the slew of fashion pros in their fields, such as Tommy Ton, June Ambrose, and Jeanne Beker.

One of the largest and most glamorous fashion galas of the year, CAFA has chosen Greta Constantine and LINE (among others) to go head to head at the top of the list for womenswear designer award and Jason Wu will face Thomas Tait and Tanya Taylor in the International Designer category. Each year these awards bring well deserved recognition slash support of Canadian talent to the forefront, each time adding to the diverse local industry.

Check back with us & we’ll keep you posted on the winners come April.
