On September 19th and 20th, it was all about celebrities, supercars and big, bright smiles rallying for kids with cancer at the 7th annual Rally for Kids with Cancer Scavenger Cup series in events which stopped over in Toronto for 2 days.
Not only do celebrities drop in, smile and wave, but they also participate in a friendly “Amazing Race” scavenger hunt all day teaming up with the top fundraisers.
The charitable festivities support the SickKids foundation, raising over $12,000,000 for children’s cancer research, treatment and care.
With the help of these funds, SickKids Foundation is able to help children like 11-year-old Kathryn.

11 year old Kathryn Stewart has been undergoing years of bouts with cancer, chemotherapy and is currently undergoing testing to determine if the cancer has returned.
To help raise awareness and fundraise, check out the fun cover of Akon’s, “Dangerous”, featuring Kardinal Offishall as a celebrity judge and this year’s 20 teams involved in Rally for Kids.

- In June 2008 Kathryn was diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroblastoma, a cancer of the nervous system. Over a period of three years Kathryn spent endless months in chemotherapy, surgeries, receiving tandem stem cell transplants and 12 rounds of radiation. By April 2009, she was in remission. Unfortunately, in August 2010, her cancer returned on her spine, devastated Kathryn began chemotherapy again. Kathryn excelled in school last year and she has now started middle school. Currently she is undergoing testing to determine if the cancer has returned for another battle. Kathryn and her family celebrate each and every day and feel thankful that they had a place like Sickkids Hospital to go.
Celebrities that have participated in Rally for Kids in the past include Gene Simmons, Eva Longoria, Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn.
