The “Dinner with Scientists” gala was held on November 16th, 2015 celebrating over 30 years of scientific discovery at Sinai Health System’s Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute (LTRI). The event was held at The Carlu raising a whopping $1 million and brought together the scientific and philanthropic community for an evening of curiosity and possibility.

The event featured special guest speaker, the chief medical correspondent for CNN Dr. Sanjay Gupta and host Allison Vuchnich from Global News.

The special evening honoured the legacy of founding director Dr. Lou Siminovitch by announcing the Louis Siminovitch Research Fellowship in Molecular Genetics.

Each gala dinner table had a scientist, enabling the business and science communities a unique networking opportunity to engage for one special evening.

Dr. Sanjay Gupta was an incredible, eloquent speaker demonstrating why he holds the position at CNN. It was a great, well-attended night with the Sinai Health System all taking part in the next wave of discoveries.
