It’s a new perspective that stands out from the tear jerking types of videos we’re naturally expected to see. These kids are sick, not weak. And that message is resonating with the public and friends and families of those going through so many similar experiences.

Dinner with Scientists was held on November 16th celebrating over 30 years of scientific discovery at Sinai Health System’s Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute (LTRI). The event was held at The Carlu raising a whopping $1 million and brought together the scientific and philanthropic community for an evening of curiosity and possibility.
The event featured special guest speaker, the chief medical correspondent for CNN Dr. Sanjay Gupta and host Allison Vuchnich from Global News.
Last Saturday night, Sept 27th the Allstream Centre at Exhibition Place was the venue for “Laughter is the Best Medicine”, a charity gala for the Toronto East General Hospital. Filling the shoes of Jerry Seinfeld back in 2012, the headliner this time was the one-and-only Chris Rock to an audience of 1,400 guests. And apparently it was all-new material.
