Modus Ristorante launched their summer menu recently. Modus is an upscale Italian restaurant, located in the center of Financial District. Fitting for its location, along with its giant chandelier and textured wallpapers, the restaurant creates Italian classics with a touch of class.
Modus’ new summer menu features their warm octopus salad with fingerling potatoes, red onion, pepper, Moroccan olives, frize and drizzled with citrus vinaigrette. The dish is refreshing and light, exposing the exquisite taste and texture of the octopus, accompanied with the Mediterranean summer taste of potato and Moroccan olives.
Pan Seared Arctic Char is new on the menu with intriguing layers of texture thanks to zucchini strings, rainbow grape tomatoes. Lemon and extra virgin olive oil, red pepper pineapple salsa add refreshing and colours to the eyes and palette.
The Prime beef fusili with extra earthyiness from the wild mushrooms and truffle pairs well with the bold, complex layers of the Ruffino Modus red wine blend.
Gnocchi is another new item on the menu, served with sautéed wild mushrooms, leeks, green pea, and asparagus tips in a white wine aglio e olio sauce and topped with shaved Pecorino. The gnocchi are like clouds, thickly cut delicious clouds.
With Modus, their service is impeccable. The knowledge and friendliness of the service bring a pleasant dining experience for us. For those who love Toronto patios, try a sip of the cucumber margarita as you enjoy the sun on their 100-seat patio.
