Bigger and better, The Artist Project is back this weekend, maturing and growing in a variety of ways in it’s 8th year. Catch it at the Better Living Centre at the Exhibition until February 22nd. In the midst of the fray of opening night last night, I was lucky to partake in a stroll up and down the aisles with show director, Claire Taylor.

We all heard it was coming and now it’s finally happening. After 18 years, Canada’s largest and longest running nightclub The Guvernment and Koolhaus will be closing in January with a three-day grand finale weekend featuring 3 solid entertainment acts.

So we mentioned it back in May, but the official lineup has been revealed for the blockbuster attraction where 30,000 music lovers will gather at the Rogers Centre for Bud Light Sensation, this time entitled “Into the Wild”.

It’s already that time of year to experience a free night of art discovery across many wonderful locations across downtown Toronto for Scotiabank Nuit Blanche. With over 110 contemporary art projects representing the work of hundreds of artists in Toronto’s art community, it all takes place for one night only on Saturday, October 4th from 6:53 pm to sunrise.

These people were each stars in their own right, and now as 2014 inductees, their recognition as cultural contributors is now taken a step further by being officially honoured with a star on Canada’s Walk of Fame.

Held at Fort York yesterday, September 13th, it was one last chilly hurrah for summer with the outdoor EDM music festival called Play Music Festival. Luckily the morning rain had just stopped, too, to sweeten the deal.
