What better way to celebrate the longest day of the year, and the start of summer, than by immersing yourself in nature found smack dab in the midst of urban Toronto. Again this year, Salomon Toronto at the Shops at Don Mills is hosting the Summer Solstice Day of Trail Runs on June 20, 2015. The idea is that anybody that wants to can join in on a group run on the nearby Sunnybrook Park trails between sunrise and sunset. Of course if you’re not up to doing a full 15 hours of running, you’re welcome to join for one, two, or as many laps as you want during the day.

Each lap will be between 8-10km, and take approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. This means you should be confident you can manage to run for over an hour on off-road, hilly terrain.  The runs will leave all day from the Salomon Store beginning with the first lap at 5:36 AM and ending with the last lap at 8:30 PM.

HoneyMaxx and Clif Bar will provide hydration and nutrition for runners, and best of all it is free of charge. Whether you know these trails like the back of your hand, or you’ve never set foot in Sunnybrook before, this is sure to be a great event. Come out and kick off summer with a great day on the trails.

When: June 20, 2015, 5:36 AM – 8:30 PM. Show up and join the next lap anytime during the day.

What to Expect: Lots of friendly runners, hydration and nutrition from HoneyMaxx and Clif Bar, and chances to win prizes

Where: Salomon Toronto Store – Shops at Don Mills. 10 Aggie Hogg Gardens, Toronto, ON. Laps will be run on the nearby Sunnybrook Trail System.

Register: Just show up to the store and sign in

Cost: Free!
