Stems of Hope Gala: Heroes Among Us

The 3rd Annual Stems of Hope gala boldly proclaimed to have an un-precedented event filled with amazement, entertainment and education.  Walking right in the decor of the retro superhero theme was a delight for guests both young and young-at-heart.

It was quite confusing to have the different themes of a gala (at the Kool Haus of all places), with superheroes mixed with old school rap but that’s what made this gala really fun.  Somehow it all just worked and it’s for the benefit of children with neurological disorders (check out threetobe.org for more info).

With a very large variety food, a “supermarket” of cuisine  (Toben, Southwest Burger, Spudniks, New York Fries, The Cupcake Shoppe, Waffle Bar, Cold Stone Creamery), great entertainment from a star-studded lineup (Young MC, Rob Base, Rapper’s Delight and Naughty by Nature) and notable personalities (Anne Mroczkowski, Leslie Roberts of Global TV), you definitely must take note of this annual fundraiser with a lot of emphasis on fun.  There was also a raffle, video art installation, a live and silent auction, and a Three To Be Hero awards ceremony. Make a note to be here next year and get ready for an action-packed night!
