On February 27th, 2014 the annual Love Her gala was held at the Liberty Grand celebrating women, promoting awareness of ovarian cancer and raising funds for Ovarian Cancer Canada.
The evening at the Liberty Grand started with a cocktail reception to peruse and bid on the vast selection of silent auction items and mingle with firefighters selling raffle tickets.
After reception everyone was seated for Juno award-winning Divine Brown who sang her soulful R&B songs that always bring down the house. It was kind of a teaser with only 2 songs, but it helped to build up anticipation for the fashion show.

It was a very cold winter night but that didn’t stop 400 guests from coming out to support the cause and raise $260,000.
The Love Her gala is a nation-wide annual fundraising event with dates coming up in Calgary (March 6th) and Vancouver – May 28th.
Also, did you know that Saturday (March 8, 2014) is International Women’s Day with the theme this year of “Inspiring Change”.
