On Sunday, July 20th I got the opportunity to check out the debut of the Summer Sundays brunch series at Malaparte, the exquisite and fabulous rooftop venue atop TIFF Bell Lightbox.
Boasting to be Toronto’s best outdoor brunch, it was pretty hard to argue that statement. For only $45 a seat, you get a fine brunch buffet catered by Oliver & Bonacini, two complimentary Perrier-Jouët champagne cocktails with the tone set by DJ Emmannuel and a stunning view of the surrounding downtown cityscape.
Even though I’m not a typical fan of pancakes the fluffy blueberry pancakes were very fluffy with a crisp outer texture. Simply delish!
There were also perfectly crafted eggs benedict with ham as well as a spinach option for vegetarians.
It’s such an amazing deal that the next brunch on Sunday, July 27th is already sold out. According to O&B and hosts Notable.ca there will be more to come this summer. Let’s all hope so!
UPDATE: Tickets are still available for this Sunday’s brunch date. Tickets and details here.
