Top event planners to celebrate 5th anniversary: "Candice Vs. Alison"

When upscale event planners, Candice & Alison Events Group, consistently plan many of Toronto’s most memorable and fabulous events again and again, it’s hard to deny that they’re among Canada’s top event planners based in Toronto.

This week they commemorate their 5th anniversary.

Named by BizBash Magazine as one of North America’s most innovative event designers in 2012, they’ve worked with a diverse portfolio of clients such as BMW, Chanel, Christian Dior, Cadillac, Mount Sinai Hospital, St. Joseph’s Media, Corus Entertainment and Right To Play, as well as talent such as Oprah Winfrey, Elton John, Kanye West and Russell Peters.

Some of the high end events they’ve thrown in just this year include Sharp’s Book for Men, and Power Ball 2014. They even did the wedding for ET Canada co-host, Rick Campanelli as featured in Hello Magazine Canada.

Not only have they planned some of the best events in Toronto, but they’ve also executed high end events in exotic destinations such as Dubai and Phuket, Thailand.

So this Thursday, July 24th at Malaparte (the rooftop of TIFF Bell Lightbox) Candice & Alison Events Group will celebrate their milestone of 5 years with a spectacular fête that will surely be an incredible night to remember. That said, it’s an intimate invite-only affair to thank clients and top tastemakers (and somehow little old me).

“We’ve enjoyed incredible success over the past five years, and wanted a chance to thank our clients, as well as push what we do to the next level,” said Slight. “We want to set trends, not follow them. We’re thinking big for the next five years, so this celebration will mark the start of that change.”

The theme, Candice vs Alison, is boasting to be a visually arresting event split into two spaces at the rooftop venue: each designed to showcase Chan and Slight’s inspirations. The first portion of the evening will feature Slight’s elegant all-in-white inspirations while Chan’s space will be revealed in the second portion of the night exploring shades of rich darkness.

“We don’t often get to throw events for ourselves and have always wanted to push the envelope of what’s usually done at events in the city. Without any restrictions in place, we’re excited for our guests to experience the best of art, design, food, cocktails, lighting, florals, invitations – every aspect of Candice Vs. Alison will showcase the best from our partners and vendors. And of course, it’s a great opportunity for both Alison and I to explore how far our imaginations will take us, unfettered,” said Chan.
