The Scotiabank Buskerball 2014 gala in support of Epilepsy Toronto

Kicking off the wonderful, crowd-pleasing Scotiabank Buskerfest, the 6th annual Buskerball charity gala was held once again at the Mattamy Athletic Centre on August 19th, 2014.

600 guests in attendance were treated to a preview of this year’s awe-inspiring performers at Scotiabank Buskerfest under way right now until Sunday Aug 24th.

Delicious bites were provided by Barberian’s Steakhouse, Salad King, Vagabondo, Mamak Satai and David’s Tea. Thanks to Barberian’s Steakhouse for the take-home steak seasoning!

Street performers from around-the-world that have come out for this year’s Buskerfest include U.S-based Kamikaze Fireflies, Billy Kid (UK), FlameOz (Australia), Les Frères Taquin (Belgium) and many more.

Special guests at Buskerball included Canadian professional basketball player, Tristan Thompson (currently playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers), and Councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam and MP Olivia Chow.

Check out Scotiabank Buskerfest happening right now until tomorrow (Aug 24th) at downtown Yonge Neighbourhood including Yonge-Dundas Square. As always, entrance to Buskerfest is by donation to Epilepsy Toronto.

Approximately one in 100 people live with epilepsy, the world’s most common neurological disorder. Epilepsy Toronto is a non-profit organization that provides support to more than 40,000 people living with epilepsy in this city.
