Sometimes rain happens. And it did happen the weekend of June 27th and 28th at Echo Beach on the Ontario Place grounds. So while everyone was disappointed that Saturday of the annual 2-day Digital Dreams music festival was completely cancelled due to safety concerns from the wind and non-stop rain on Saturday, Day 2 was slightly better weather but just enough to keep the show going.
With weather similar to the recent inaugural Ever After Fest in Kitchener, it was a poncho party thanks to the rain, although it wasn’t cold so the rain was embraced.
Then later on the rain finally let up for headliners such as Martin Garrix and Zedd, closing out the night with an appropriate amount of pyrotechnics including smoke, flames and fireworks.
