The Art Gallery of Ontario held its highly anticipated annual fundraising event on Thursday April 21st, 2016 – AGO Midnight Massive.

This sold-out event featured artistic performances, contemporary and interactive art installations, DJ’s, drinks, and hors d’oeuvres throughout the multiple levels of the AGO.

The lively vibe with the art community and socialites mingling was a perfect night to dress up and don on masks for a midnight masquerade where the overall theme was transition. At midnight, there were special performances which coincided with a full moon.

Every level had a mood corresponding to Fire, Earth and Air. Down at the lower level (fire), we had a super energetic samba band (Escola de Samba de Toronto) that evoked the fire from within with their contagious music.

This sold-out annual event raised $313,000 towards AGO’s exhibitions and educational programming.
