Spanning four stories, I was lucky to photograph the launch party of Movember House, the new Toronto Headquarters of well-known charity, Movember Canada.

On the evening of September 15th, 2016 we celebrated at the party throughout the Movember House with chief Mo-Bro and co-founder Adam Garone along with his brother and co-founder Trav Garone.

There was Xbox and billiards table inside, and in the spacious backyard spilling out into the alley there was oversized Jenga, DJ, live music and a photo booth. Good vibes all around.

The Movember House consists of a three-in-one as a community space, office and barbershop where you can get a cut and shave, of course moustaches are welcome for a trim. It aims to bring together the community in a comfy home setting complete with murals on the outside wall by local artists.

“At the end of the day, our goal as an organization is to stop men dying too young,” says Garone. “The best way to do that is to talk and engage in conversation when times get tough. That’s what we hope the Movember House will help to do – bring the community together to connect with each other.”

The Movember House is located at 588 Richmond Street West.
