I’ve attended Bloor Street Entertains for the past few consecutive years but this was the first time dining for the annual illustrious occasion.

The format of this event is different from the usual top annual events in Toronto. It starts with a pop-up dinner in a unique setting in the Bloor Yorkville neighbourhood, such as Cartier, Tiffanys simultaneously. Mine happened to be at the newly renovated Yorkville Village complete with a glitzy, shiny entrance and Christmas tree just in time for the holidays.

My 4-course seated dinner catered by Mark McEwan was in the well-decorated lobby of Yorkville Village. What a beautiful setup by Palettera. Entertainment was with a group of dancers with the theme of Nutcracker Suite complete with a ballerina coming out of a music box.

After dinner guests converged at the ROM where everyone lets loose and enjoyed a variety of bites, drinks and live music.

What a great annual event shining a spotlight on AIDS research on the evening before World Aids Day.
