Winterlicious just started, where you can take the opportunity to discover restaurants around Toronto.

Over 200 restaurants participate during January 29 – February 11, where you can try three-course prix fixe lunch or dinner meals (ranging from $18-$45). Reservations are recommended.

Things are looking up in terms of weather in Toronto and that’s where the St. Lawrence Market becomes an epicentre with the ever-popular Farmers Market, a fresh food destination for downtowners, the GTA as well as tourists. So with the growth in condos in the neighbourhood and the overflowing after-work patio destination Esplanade nearby, enter the emerging Market Street set to heat things up starting next week.

For the month of January, Nota Bene restaurant is offering a special prix fixe menu inspired by sunny California raising a glass to the wines from various regions in the Golden State. California is recognized as one of the best wine regions in the world where nearly 90% of all American wine is produced with over a hundred grape varietals.

Personally, I’m a fan of tasting menus, as you get to try out many of the restaurant’s dishes, giving you a good feel for what the restaurant is all about. There are quite a few great tasting menus in this amazing foodie city, and the #HKDateNight menu is Hudson Kitchen’s entry in this field.
