It’s no longer a secret in Toronto that next week will be the 3rd year of the globally-celebrated pop-up dinner party that first originated in Paris, France over 25 years ago.
On Wednesday September 17, 2014 it’s a sold-out outdoor affair with a waiting list where 1,400 of invited guests gather at a secret public location revealed to them at the last minute to set up a glamorous picnic in elegant decorum.
Great to hear that our friends at Charlies Burgers are taking care of the wine selection (no outside alcohol permitted due to liquor license regulations)
- Chardonnay Catarratto, Canti, 2013, Sicily, Italy.
- * Barbera d’Asti, Canti, DOCG, 2010, Veneto, Italy.
- * Prosecco, Canti, DOC, 2012, Veneto, Italy.
While the two previous years were not too cold, those guests that are attending are being asked to dress appropriately for the weather. Heaters won’t be provided.
Since there were complaints that last year’s Diner en Blanc Toronto was in a parking lot east of Queen and Church, guests are anxiously hoping the new #DEBTO hosts have secured an elegant location this time more fitting to the special occasion. What are your thoughts on where it will be downtown? A rooftop or a park, perhaps?
If you were lucky enough to get a ticket I’ll be there for my 3rd year snapping photos of you. See you there!
Waiting list to attend the sold-out event is here.
