Diana’s Seafood has made a name for themselves with the success of their fresh seafood market in The Greater Toronto Area for the past 30 years. With the support of their loyal clients, they’ve opened their second Diana’s Oyster Bar & Grill location in one of Canada’s most diverse cities: Markham.

To match such a multicultural population is an elaborate menu of seafood risotto, grilled octopus, crab cakes, soups, steamed lobster and of course fresh oysters. Their selection of oysters bewilders me, with some unfamiliar names, including Valentine, Belon, Wiley Point, and South Bay Blonde. Nonetheless, one can’t help but reminisce of the ocean when slurping these up! The simple meatiness and rawness of the oysters taste so good on its own, that condiments are optional at this point.

The grand opening of this seafood joint was graced with the presence of Markham’s Mayor, Frank Scarpitti, as well as many of the Ward Councilors from across the GTA, in celebration for the incredible family behind the business.

“I don’t care what part of the world you come from, seafood is usually part of one’s cuisine. We certainly look forward to the fact you’ll be able to serve the most diverse city of Canada with the different ways that seafood is prepared here at Diana’s seafood to meet the culinary preferences of so many different communities.” – Mayor Frank Scarpitti

Congratulations to Diana’s Oyster Bar and Grill for your opening at 7501 Woodbine Avenue. As the mayor had said it best: “The oyster is your world, and thank you for creating a better world in the city of Markham.”
