The emerging Castlefield Design District of Toronto has a new kid on the block – the recently opened GE Monogram Design Centre and cooking studio. Designed by Harry Pontarini Architects, it aims to “elevate Toronto’s Design District and culinary landscape”, according to Monogram General Manager, Philippe Meyersohn. Open Wines, in concert with Matt Basile of Fidel Gastros food truck and owner of Lisa Marie Restaurant (and from the show Rebel Without a Kitchen on the Cooking Channel), created an intimate wine and food pairing event that hit all the right notes.
