CRU’s official grand opening was on Feb 28th, after the popular seafood restaurant Lbs. closed at the end of 2018, to unveil with its brand-new restaurant and bar concept.
The place is connected to the Scotia Plaza building, hidden behind its royal blue velvet curtains. Once you enter, the modern fine-dining restaurant is filled with stunning contemporary murals and artworks by Polish artist, Pawel Swanski.

You may recognize Food Network star, Corbin Tomaszeski, from the shows Dinner Party Wars and Restaurant Takeover, or previously at Holt’s Cafe. The Executive Chef’s next culinary adventure begins at his newest restaurant, “Savoury”, a Chef’s Table meets private dining experience that features a “chef’s choice” menu – based on local and seasonal ingredients. The 10-seater restaurant is tucked away in an elusive and intimate space besides a banquet hall and the largest kitchen in the Westin Harbour Castle.  …

Italian restaurant The Red Tomato has been a fixture in the King West theatre district since 1988, along with sister restaurant, Fred’s Not Here. Now, in 2015, the restaurant aims to reinvent itself with a new menu focused on an Italian favourite – pizzas. On September 23rd, we visited to sample the new offerings.
