We were invited at the beginning of August to sample Weslodge’s new menu. Through their electrifying yellow doors on King West, their modern, high-end saloon theme is evident with the room filled with antlers and brass accents.
Italian restaurant The Red Tomato has been a fixture in the King West theatre district since 1988, along with sister restaurant, Fred’s Not Here. Now, in 2015, the restaurant aims to reinvent itself with a new menu focused on an Italian favourite – pizzas. On September 23rd, we visited to sample the new offerings.
August 5th was a beautiful day in Toronto; a perfect summer day to visit La Société to check out their new Le Cocktail menu. The restaurant would be introducing five new cocktails, the creations of sommelier, cocktail designer, and mixologist Kyle Stefanato.
On June 15, we made a trek to Toronto’s Greektown to visit Greenwood Smokehouse BBQ and checkout their new summer menu. Upon entering, we were greeted with a smoked pear mint julep, and by R2BBQ – a smoker made to like the iconic R2D2 from Star Wars. Already we knew we were in for a great night ahead.
Buonanotte has been a fixture in Toronto’s entertainment district for over two years now. It’s a popular spot for young professionals to network, socialize, and of course, dine. We visited earlier this year to celebrate its two year anniversary, and last December to try the holiday menu. This time, we visited to sample some of the items on its newly launched summer menu. Porzia launched its new spring food and cocktail menu to a packed house on April 15th. Chef Basilio Pesce constructed a new menu that is fresh and flavourful and balanced, suited for the warm weather to come. We visited to sample some of the new items, and did not leave disappointed.
