Shinta Japanese Barbeque introduces Toronto’s first All-You-Can-Eat Wagyu beef dining experience, a rare and highly valuable type of beef that is known for having intense marbling and is bred from the Wagyu cattle. With a well-established connection to international Wagyu farmers including the U.S’s award-winning Snake River Farms, Australia, Japan’s Zen-noh and the Japanese Agricultural Cooperatives (JA) group, Shinta BBQ provides a farm-to-table experience with a variety of cuts.

On June 15, we made a trek to Toronto’s Greektown to visit Greenwood Smokehouse BBQ and checkout their new summer menu. Upon entering, we were greeted with a smoked pear mint julep, and by R2BBQ – a smoker made to like the iconic R2D2 from Star Wars. Already we knew we were in for a great night ahead.

In celebration of 5 years of Lou Dawgs BBQ at King West, I got to participate (and by participate I mean eat to my heart’s content) in the showcase of new “Big Dawg” menu offerings featuring their take on the best of Southern comfort food and libations.

On September 21st, Two Oceans and Nederburg wine will play host to all the festivities of Canada Braai Day at The Distillery District. For twenty years, Serve has been supporting programs that have helped over 1,000 disadvantaged youth gain opportunities by helping them to acquire skills through involvement in their communities.
