Paese Ristorante has been around since 1989 serving handcrafted and homemade approach to Italian-inspired menu with a made-in-Canada twist. Paese is a neighbourhood gem. In Italian, the word Paese means “town or village”, which symbolizes neighbourhood. Paese is known for its mouth-watering appetizers, fresh and seasonal favourites and a menu filled with a mix of Italian eats favourites including: homemade pizza, pasta dishes with homemade sauces. Many of the ingredients comes from their own garden 2 blocks from the restaurant.

The AGO’s new exhibition, “Mystical Landscapes: Masterpieces from Monet, van Gogh and more”, features close to 90 paintings and 20 works on paper by 36 different artists. There is a sizeable number of popular artists included with the aforementioned Claude Monet and Vincent van Gogh, including Paul Gauguin, Edvard Munch, Emily Carr, Lawren Harris, Georgia O’Keeffe, Egon Schiele, and Marc Chagall. Most of the artwork on display originates from 1880 to 1930.

There’s no party quite like one thrown by a library. Hosting its fourth annual Hush Hush Party-in-the-Stacks at the modern Bloor/Gladstone Library, the Toronto Public Library raised money with proceeds going towards the TPL Foundation. This year’s theme was a “Heroes and Villains Takeover” and the theme seems fitting as Halloween is fast approaching. The event was held on Saturday, October 15, 2016.
