Summer Dips at Jack Astors

In the midst of this beautiful sunny weather, who doesn’t love hitting up patios? To help you maximize your patio time this summer, Jack Astor’s has expanded their patio menu and boasts taking “extreme patio measures” including providing complimentary sunscreen, beer coasters that double as “rain guards” and a chance to win a spontaneous plane trip to one of the greatest patios in Muskoka.

The Forth is a new, upscale restaurant on Danforth near Pape spanning 8,000 square feet in a three-story building with Chef Chris Kalisperas, previously the executive chef at Brassaii. The concept is classic Canadian cuisine with a contemporary approach.

Walking through the entrance in the decorated lobby with an elevator, you can tell that this restaurant destination is different than the usual Danforth dining options. The modern décor and spacious open concept provide a welcoming atmosphere for a fresh dining experience.

This year’s “Wedding Room” hosted by The Wedding Co. The event this year took place at Oliver & Bonacini’s Arcadian event space last month.

The Stop’s Night Market is a fundraising event, held at the Honest Ed’s alleyway, bringing together various chefs, food vendors and artists in support of The Stop’s innovative anti-hunger programs. This year, the event was on June 18 and 19, spanning 2 days instead of 1 in response to the overwhelming demand. What an amazing deal at only $50 for unlimited eats and drinks for such a great cause! This year they raised $115,000!

For the 17th year, Eat to the Beat held their annual women-helping-women culinary fundraiser, where guests get to indulge in a vast variety of delectable Ontario culinary delights from 60 female chefs. The event is a great cause where the Willow Breast Cancer Support, a national non-profit organization that not only supports women in surviving breast cancer but also to thrive.
