It’s that time of year where we look back at our favourite events in Toronto that happened this past year (Top events of 2013 here, by the way). There are many factors to consider when it comes to what makes an event “the best” year after year. You work hard for your money so if you choose to spend it to have a good time, then you naturally expect to get what you pay for.

A festive atmosphere, black ties and fashionable dresses, a banquet of food and a feast for the eyes. The 23rd annual Cathay Ball in support of Mon Sheong Foundation marked its 50th golden anniversary as Toronto’s first and largest Chinese charity.

Kardinal Offishall hosted his 16th annual Christmas party on December 18th at Cube night club, this time a bit more intimate compared to the year prior.

On November 14, 2014, Young Professionals for SickKids held it’s third annual Breakfast of Champions networking fundraiser. The early morning event, starting at 7:30am, was a vibrant, energetic and lively affair. The spacious event hall at The Toronto Board of Trade filled up quickly with close to 300 young professionals from legal, financial, media, medical, fashion and agency worlds to mingle with some of Canada’s most celebrated industry leaders, called ‘Champions’.

With World AIDS Day on December 1st, it’s only fitting that we talk about CANFAR – the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research – Canada’s only independent charitable foundation dedicated to eliminating HIV and AIDS through research. Every year around this time, CANFAR holds Bloor Street Entertains – its largest fundraising event, bringing an evening of glitz and glamour to the generous donors.

The 2nd annual Suits and Staches charity party was held last week on November 21st at Steamwhistle and it was quite a bash. Tickets sold out quickly and reasons are obvious.
