It’s a week-long tribute to creativity showcasing some of the best of gastronomy, arts, fashion and lifestyle inspired by Veuve Clicquot founder, Madame Clicquot who pushed boundaries in the 1800s as a female entrepreneur.
Although the Luminato Festival officially ended Sunday at the Luminato Festival Hub at David Pecaut Square on June 23rd, the official closing party was held at Andrew Richards Designs at King East on the prior Saturday night, June 22nd. The 4th annual Frocktail party featured loads of designer dresses (and also some menswear for the gents) up for auction with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). We spotted Suzanne Rogers and Greta Constantine (Kirk Pickersgill and Stephen Wong), who donated dresses for a good cause. For those in the know, Powerball at The Power Plant is a highly anticipated annual celebration. For the gallery’s 25th anniversary, Power Ball’s “Quarter Life Crisis” was a well-attended evening with 1,700 guests. Those in attendance read like a who’s-who of Canadian and Toronto socialite fame including Melissa Grelo, Mary Kitchen, Jian Ghomeshi, Tanya Kim, Rick Mercer.
