Now that we’re deep in the hazy days of summer, there has been time to reflect upon the first half of the year in Toronto – in particular, on the city’s lively social scene. Between functions that fell flat, over-the-top galas that won’t be forgotten and fundraisers that generated important dollars, some events stood out from the rest.
Last night Toronto’s most anticipated annual art party was held at the Power Plant Gallery joined forces with luxury brand Max Mara to celebrate the 2015 Powerball : Appetite for Excess. With a reputation of being one of the the largest social events of the season, Powerball did not disappoint this year.
If last year was any indication, this year’s Power Ball was sure to be amazing once again. Held at Canada’s leading contemporary art gallery on June 5th, The Power Plant, Power Ball 2014 welcomed over 1,500 guests who came to support the exhibitions and programs that the Power Plant holds every year.
It was a drizzly night but that didn’t stop over 1,500 guests from gathering at the The Power Plant Gallery for the highly-anticipated annual Power Ball art party. I was lucky to attend last year’s Powerball: Quarter Life Crisis which was quite the riot so this year was definitely worth marking on the calendar.
